Nick Homan
Nick Homan has spent his entire career serving those who have been broken, injured, and wronged. Nick believes that a great lawyer makes a personal connection with his clients. This is the attitude Nick has brought to his practice of helping accident victims in Texas and across the U.S.
In his first year as an attorney, Nick represented an elderly man who tripped and fell on a defective sidewalk outside of a restaurant. The insurance company lawyers said the claim was frivolous and blamed it all on Nick’s elderly client. Nick fought hard for that client and made clear that he would not allow the insurance company to demean his client or diminish his injuries. Shortly before the jury trial, the insurance caved and agreed to pay four times his client’s medical bills. This marked the beginning of a career spent seeking justice from insurance companies and big corporations.
In September of 2018, Nick served as the lead trial attorney and won a $1.2M jury verdict on behalf of his client who was badly injured on a cruise ship. The cruise line refused to accept the jury’s decision and appealed the verdict. Nick argued his client’s case before the federal appeals court and won.
Nick has extensive experience litigating complex civil cases throughout the U.S., including automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents; products liability; hunting accidents; boating accidents; maritime injuries; railroad accidents; toxic tort; oil & gas; contract disputes; civil rights violations; and others. Nick is licensed to practice law in Texas, California, and several other federal district courts and appellate courts.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in 2012 where he was a member of the South Texas Law Review and Dean’s List. He is licensed to practice in Texas and California.
In law school, Nicholas competed in 10 national Appellate Advocacy and Mock Trial competitions and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Since graduating from law school, Nicholas has helped judge and coach several moot court and mock trial teams.
Nick was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He also attended college and law school in Houston. As a lifelong Houstonian, Nick is proud of Houston’s blue-collar culture of hard work and determination.
Nick and his family are members at Second Baytown Church where he serves God, his church, and the community he loves.
