Nick Homan

Here to help you and your family through dark times.

Nick Homan has spent his entire career serving those who have been broken, injured, and wronged. Nick believes that a great lawyer makes a personal connection with his clients. This is the attitude Nick has brought to his practice of helping accident victims in Texas and across the U.S.

In his first year as an attorney, Nick represented an elderly man who tripped and fell on a defective sidewalk outside of a restaurant. The insurance company lawyers said the claim was frivolous and blamed it all on Nick’s elderly client. Nick fought hard for that client and made clear that he would not allow the insurance company to demean his client or diminish his injuries. Shortly before the jury trial, the insurance caved and agreed to pay four times his client’s medical bills. This marked the beginning of a career spent seeking justice from insurance companies and big corporations.

In September of 2018, Nick served as the lead trial attorney and won a $1.2M jury verdict on behalf of his client who was badly injured on a cruise ship. The cruise line refused to accept the jury’s decision and appealed the verdict. Nick argued his client’s case before the federal appeals court and won.

Nick has extensive experience litigating complex civil cases throughout the U.S., including automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents; products liability; hunting accidents; boating accidents; maritime injuries; railroad accidents; toxic tort; oil & gas; contract disputes; civil rights violations; and others. Nick is licensed to practice law in Texas, California, and several other federal district courts and appellate courts.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in 2012 where he was a member of the South Texas Law Review and Dean’s List. He is licensed to practice in Texas and California.

In law school, Nicholas competed in 10 national Appellate Advocacy and Mock Trial competitions and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Since graduating from law school, Nicholas has helped judge and coach several moot court and mock trial teams.

Nick was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He also attended college and law school in Houston. As a lifelong Houstonian, Nick is proud of Houston’s blue-collar culture of hard work and determination.
Nick and his family are members at Second Baytown Church where he serves God, his church, and the community he loves.

A driver, under the influence of drugs, run a red light at high speed and hit my vehicle. It was an ugly accident. Unfortunately, I did not hire Joel Pardo from the beginning but hired another firm. The firm was incompetent and created lot of unnecessary delays and missed opportunities. So, when Joel Pardo took my case, I was frustrated and exhausted. Joel gained my trust when I saw his clear and organized thinking and plan of action. Joel is easy to work with, smart and thinks fast. He is very professional and approachable at the same time. He is well organized and knows the ins and outs of what is needed in car accident cases. He is a good listener and took into consideration my suggestions and comments. He clearly explained the status of my case, the steps that followed, timing, and the options & the pros-cons. He kept me well informed. No surprises, which I like. It was easy to reach him if I needed to ask a question or make a comment. Reachability is important. I felt my interests were part of his priority. His team is good too. They are organized, they are on top of dates, schedule, information needed. If we had a disagreement, the discussion was civilized, rational, and intelligent. I valued his open approach. I believe the result of my case was satisfactory. I would recommend Joel Pardo to anyone that has been involved in a traffic accident.

My year began with some heartache and tremendous stress. Fortunately, I was blessed with a recommendation to contact Mr. Pardo. Honestly, he has made me feel hopeful and cared about. Mr. Pardo, I believe, treats every client as if they are his most important! For that alone, id be comfortable recommending this person for any legal problems. But, Mr Pardo, has shown through his work, he truly gives his clients his very best work. I've referred a couple of friends to Mr. Pardo and they couldn't be happier and relieved, than they do with their good sense in hiring this attorney. Honestly, I could not ask for a better lawyer to represent me in a court of law.

I am very grateful for Joel and would not have chosen him over any other “more experienced” attorney. After losing my mother to medical malpractice my heart was broken and justice was needed. Joel is highly intelligent and has a heart that is genuinely sincere. He got the best experts for everything and never left me wondering what was going on. He never made it about the money, because he understood that all the money in the world could not fix what this doctor had done to my mother and is doing to others. He explained the Texas Medical Boatd process and the steps it takes to create a new law, so this doesn’t happen to other people. Joel works prestigiously and does not quit. His passion for his clients is amazing and I believe makes him more experienced than any other attorney I have met. You will not regret choosing Joel,he is upfront and truthful with you. You will never have to wonder what’s going on, nor ask a question and not get a response. Joel is prompt ,professional and exquisite. I witnessed his approach when taking on much older attorneys, and it left them speechless. Do not let the young face fool you.

I am very thankful that I was referred to Joel after I was in a serious car wreck last year. Someone pulled out in front of me at a very close distance. It was a bad wreck and I am very lucky to have survived. Joel was able to prove that the other driver had been drinking, even though the police had failed to do a breathalyzer test at the scene. He fought and advocated for me and was able to get me a settlement in less than a year. He is relentless and not afraid to go up against any insurance company. He is professional and respectful and works really hard for his clients. He went above and beyond for me and I will always highly recommend him.

Mr. Pardo is one of the few attorneys I would trust if I was in need of a personal injury attorney, and that’s as good of an endorsement as anyone can really give. Over the years I have had the opportunity to watch Mr. Pardo in trial and I have been incredibly impressed with how well he represents himself while advocating for his clients’ interests. I’ve come to expect great things from Mr. Pardo, and if you’re in need of a personal injury attorney, you should to
